MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611069832 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering And Technology Niet on June 03, 2026, for Hardware-Accelerated Multi-Scale Underwater Video Feature Enhancement System For Robotic Perception.
Inventors include Dr. Raju; and Neelam.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: A hardware-accelerated multi-scale underwater video feature enhancement system (100) for robotic perception comprises a field-programmable gate array based processing pipeline (110) with four sequential stages: a color correction stage (120), a multi-resolution underwater feature enhancement network stage (130) having three parallel processing streams with special convolution layers (134) and dense skip connections (137), a global-scale attention module stage (140) performing dual- pathway spatial attention refinement and multi-scale feature fusion, and an adaptive residual output stage (150). A deterministic pipeline state machine controller (190) coordinates all stages and generates sequenced commit signals that simultaneously activate a memory protection unit (180) write-lock through a hardware set-reset latch, an interconnect firewall controller (170) policy latch, and a translation table freeze, establishing a physically enforced immutable data path boundary throughout the pipeline. The system enhances underwater video features for improved object detection, classification, and multi-object tracking in autonomous underwater robotic applications.
