The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a process for the preparation of a hard carbon material from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon rich samples through two step process for sodium ion battery anode active material. The first step involves the preparation of precursor of hard carbon by partial dehydrogenation and oxygenation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons rich samples. The second step involves the production of hard carbon from the precursor obtained from first step through high- temperature heat treatment.
