The apparatus (100) comprises a handheld housing (102), an ultrasonic obstacle detection module (104), a processing and control unit (106), a distance evaluation module (108), a haptic feedback unit (110), an acoustic feedback unit (112), a visual safety beacon unit (114), a mode selection interface (116), a power supply unit (118), a rechargeable battery module (120), a battery charging module (122), an integrated circuit board assembly (124), a user retention member (126), and a sensor orientation structure (128). The ultrasonic obstacle detection module (104) detects obstacles within a predefined operational zone and provides distance information to the processing and control unit (106). The apparatus (100) selectively generates haptic, acoustic, or combined feedback in response to obstacle proximity and further provides a visibility-enhancement function through the visual safety beacon unit (114). The apparatus enables user-directed spatial scanning, portable operation, and obstacle awareness without physical contact during navigation.
