Abstract: A handheld eating assistive device for individuals with limited mobility, comprises, an elongated body 101 with a handle 102 at the proximal end for easy positioning and maneuvering, an ultrasonic sensor measures the user’s hand dimensions, while a motorized strap 112 with hinges 103, controlled by a microcontroller, ensures a secure and comfortable fit, a microphone 104 allows the user to issue voice commands for intuitive control, at the distal end, a hemispherical member 105 with adjustable slider plates 106 cradles food, and a temperature sensor monitors the food’s temperature, providing alerts if it exceeds a threshold value, a color sensor detects contaminants, and a motorized clamp 108 removes them, C-shaped pins 109, controlled by a motorized hinge, help transfer large food items, a gyroscopic sensor detects the body 101 inclination, enabling the microcontroller to adjust the orientation of the member 105 to prevent spillage.
