MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511023240 A) filed by Sanskriti University on March 15, 2025, for Hand Washing Assistive Device.

Inventors include Dharmendra Pal Sharma; and Dr. Sachin Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A hand washing assistive device comprises of a cuboidal housing 101 having multiple suction units 102 for attaching the housing 101 with surface of a wall, an opening 103 crafted on the housing 101 accessed by a user to insert a soap, an imaging unit 104 determines presence and dimensions of the soap, a motorized expandable gripper configured within the housing 101 by means of an inverted L-shaped telescopic rod that actuates to position the gripper over the soap, a microphone 105 arranged on the housing 101 for user input regarding requirement of slice or pieces of the soap, a pneumatic blade 106 installed at bottom portion of the housing 101 to extend and cut a thin slice of soap, a pair of pneumatic pushers 108 installed within the housing 101 and arranged over opposite sides of the housing 101 to extend and crush the cut soap slice.
