Abstract: Peripheral nerve injuries (PNIs) affecting the hand often result in muscle weakness, reduced grip strength, impaired dexterity, and difficulty performing activities of daily living. Among the various grasp patterns, cylindrical grasp is essential for functional tasks such as holding bottles, cups, tools, and other everyday objects. This study focuses on the use of the Lumbriflex device as a hand-strengthening intervention along with visual feedback for individuals with hand PNIs. Participants perform structured hand exercises with graded resistance experiencing visual feedback using the device to facilitate activation and strengthening of intrinsic and extrinsic hand muscles involved in grip formation. Grip strength and cylindrical grasp performance are assessed before and after the intervention period using standardized outcome measures such as a hand dynamometer and functional grasp assessments. The Lumbriflex device appears to be a promising rehabilitation tool for patients with hand peripheral nerve injuries. By providing targeted hand-strengthening exercises, it may facilitate recovery of cylindrical grasp and functional hand use, supporting improved participation in daily activities and quality of life
