Abstract: A hand rehabilitation system (100a) includes a hand exoskeleton device configured to be worn on a patient's hand, an input interface, and a processing unit. The input interface allows selection of a rehabilitation mode based on an impairment level of the patient. The rehabilitation modes include a first mode (108), a second mode (112), a third mode (116), and a fourth mode (118). The processing unit receives real-time hand movement data from one or more sensors associated with the selected rehabilitation mode, computes joint angles from the real-time hand movement data, compares the computed joint angles with reference joint angle sequences to generate similarity metrics, and determines an error value based on a difference between the computed joint angles and the reference joint angle sequences. A feedback module (134) provides real-time feedback based on the similarity metrics.
