MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511007987 A) filed by Sanskriti University on January 30, 2025, for Hand-Held Sheet Cutting Assistive Device.

Inventors include Prateek Verma; and Dr. Dara Singh.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: A hand-held sheet cutting assistive device, comprising a X-shaped frame 101 having pair of crosslinked bodies arranged in a crisscross manner, a handle 102 is configured on each body to provide grip to user, a microphone 103 integrated in frame 101 for enabling user to provide input voice commands for activating/deactivating device, a speaker 104 is installed on frame 101 to produce audio signals, an imaging unit 105 integrated in frame 101 to detect positioning of bodies on sheet, a laser projection unit 106 is arranged on frame 101 for projecting laser beams on sheet, a linear actuator 108 integrated in between bodies, to extend/retract for applying an optimum amount of force on bodies, an electronically controlled nozzle 109 integrated in frame 101 to dispense an appropriate amount of water stored in a chamber 110 arranged on frame 101.
