MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511007947 A) filed by Sanskriti University on January 30, 2025, for Hand-Held Cake Icing Scraping Assistive Device.

Inventors include Dr. Israr Husain; and Dr. Kaushal Kishor.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: A hand-held cake icing scraping assistive device, comprises of a rectangular frame 101 fabricated with a handle 102 that is gripped by a user for positioning the frame 101 in proximity to a cake’s icing to be spread, a microphone to provide input voice commands regarding a user-desired pattern to be carved on the icing, multiple triangular members 106 installed on the frame 101 by means of a motorized slider 104 to translate the members 106 for getting arranged as per the user-specified pattern, an imaging unit 103 to determine distance of the cake’s surface from the frame 101, a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 105 for extending to position the members 106 in proximity to edges of the cake, and a speaker 111 for providing instructions to the user, to rotate the cake for enabling the member to get translated over entire edges of the cake.
