Abstract: A hand exoskeleton device (100) is disclosed. The device (100) includes soft robotic finger modules (114), each having a concave flexible body (116) defining an elongated channel (118) for receiving a finger, a conical dome tip structure (120) at a distal end, and tendon-routing ribs (122) beneath the concave flexible body (116), each rib having a first tendon hole (124) and second tendon hole (126). Tendons (134) are routed in closed-loop configuration from a proximal end of each finger module (114), through the first tendon holes (124), around the conical dome tip structure (120), and back through the second tendon holes (126). Servo motors (136) each have a pulley (138) connected to a tendon (134), wherein pulley rotation in one direction tensions the tendon (134) to bend the concave flexible body (116), and rotation in another direction releases the tendon (134) for return to an original position.
