MUMBAI, India, Aug. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641095627 A) filed by The Principal, mepco Schlenk Engineering College on August 07, 2026, for Half Duplex Dual Circularly Polarized Nabla-Slotted Waveguide Antenna.

Inventors include Dr. G. Indumathi; and R. R. Soma Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.

Abstract: A compact Ku-Band waveguide antenna is proposed which offers both Left hand circular polarization (LHCP) and Right hand circular polarization (RHCP). The proposed antenna is design from a cylindrical waveguide section and consists of two mutually orthogonal side-fed ports, and Nabla Slot. Nabla slot (NS) on aperture of circular waveguide is placed at 450 with respect to both the input ports and provides a phase delay of 900 to attain LHCP and RHCP. Side fed design of the proposed antenna eliminates the need for rectangular to circular waveguide transition. Simulation results show that the proposed CP waveguide antenna has inter-port isolation more than 15dB, axial ratio (AR) below 3 dB, and polarization isolation over 15dB in the impedance matching bandwidth from 13.83 — 15.6 GHz.
