MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541024707 A) filed by Jain Deemed-To-Be University on March 19, 2025, for Hair Removal Device.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A hair removal device, comprising an oval shaped body 101 having a first and second portion 103, an inverted U-shaped handle 104 fabricated with a cushion padding gripped by user for positioning on a surface, an inflating unit integrated in padding inflate padding for user comfort, an imaging unit 106 integrated in body 101 detect type of surface being cleaned, multiple extendable pins 107 arranged on bottom of body 101 and configured with piezoelectric bristles of varying lengths at first and second portion 103, in case surface is identified as a fabric the pins 107 of first portion 102 deploy long bristles which generates a static charge to attract and collect hair effectively from surface, a cuboidal member 108 detachably attached with body 101 having multiple air blowers 109 to dispense pressurized air onto bristles for removing any residual hair remaining on bristles for optimal cleanliness of body 101.
