Abstract: ABSTRACT HAIR QUALITY ASSESSMENT Techniques for performing hair quality assessment are described. In an example, a set of attributes associated with hair of a subject are determined, 5 where the set of attributes includes at least one of hair shine, hair color intensity, hair alignment, and hair friction. A first hair vibrancy parameter is then determined based on a first subset of attributes including at least one of the hair shine and the hair color intensity. Thereafter, a second hair vibrancy parameter is determined based on a second subset of attributes 10 including at least one of the hair alignment and the hair friction. A hair vibrancy index is then evaluated based on the first hair vibrancy parameter and the second hair vibrancy parameter, where the hair vibrancy index is indicative of quality of the hair. 15 23
