MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094242 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on November 30, 2024, for Groove Cutting Assistive Device.

Inventors include Dr. Neeraj Kamboj; Dr. Avtar Singh; Swarn Singh; Dr. Aman Sharma; Sahil Maan; and Vivek Bist.

Abstract: A groove cutting assistive device, comprises of a cylindrical body 101 with a handle 102 that is gripped by a user to position body 101 in proximity to a wall surface over which a groove is to be cut, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 103 to evaluate a 3-Dimensional mapping of wall surface, a touch interactive display panel 104 to select an area of wall surface over which groove is to be cut along with dimensions of groove, a laser projection unit 105 guide user to position body 101 over projected markings, an inverted L-shaped hydraulic rod 106 position a U-shaped extendable member 107 over projected markings, a motorized circular cutting blade 108 cut wall surface, a pair of motorized wheel 109 provide translation to body 101 over user-specified area, and a hydraulic bar 110 to hit user-selected area with force to cut groove.
