MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611100428 A) filed by Sharda University on August 19, 2026, for Green-Synthesized Method For Preparing Silver-Based Nanoparticles With Enhanced Hemocompatibility.

Inventors include Dr. Arpita Roy; and Kriti, Madhu.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention provides green-synthesized methods for synthesizing silver-based nanoparticles and carbon dot-functionalized silver nanoparticle composition. The carbon dot-functionalized silver nanoparticle composition. includes carbon dots derived from natural biomass through a carbonisation process, silver nanoparticles formed on surfaces of the carbon dots through phytochemical reduction of silver ions, and a phytochemical capping layer derived from natural biomass extract stabilizing the silver nanoparticles. The composition is free of chemical reducing agents and exhibits low hemolytic activity on human erythrocytes at concentrations ranging from 1 µg/mL to 25 µg/mL for incubation periods of up to 24 hours at 37 °C.
