MUMBAI, India, Aug. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641096267 A) filed by Dr. S. Mohandoss; P. V. Nandhini; and Rajalakshmi Engineering College on August 10, 2026, for Green Synthesis Of Zno-Zro2-Mno2 Ternary Nanocomposites Using Antigonon Leptopus Flower Extract For.

Inventors include Dr. S. Mohandoss; and P. V. Nandhini.

The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.

Abstract: This invention is about preparation a ZnO-Zr02-Mn02 nanocomposite using Antigonon leptopus flower extract instead of harmful chemicals. ZnO, Zr02, and Mn02 nanoparticles are first made separately using the extract, then combined to form the nanocomposite. It is checked using XRD, FTIR, I JV-Vis, SEM, and EDX. The nanocomposite removes organic clYe [Methylene blue/Rhodamine B]. under [UV-light source] and shows strong antibacterial activity against [ Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli,pSeudomonas aeruginosa]— better than the individual nanoparticles alone. This gives a cheap, eco-friendly way to make a material that's good at both cleaning dye pollution and fighting bacteria.
