The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a green synthesis process for the preparation of multifunctional nanofertilizers intended for sustainable agricultural applications. The invention utilizes phytochemical-rich renewable biological resources as natural reducing, stabilizing, and surface-functionalizing agents for the synthesis of nano- enabled fertilizer compositions, thereby eliminating or minimizing the use of hazardous chemical reagents. The process comprises preparing a biological extract, reacting the extract with one or more agriculturally acceptable nutrient precursor solutions under controlled conditions, recovering the synthesized nanofertilizer, and formulating the product into suitable agricultural formulations. The resulting multifunctional nanofertilizer may incorporate one or more primary nutrients, secondary nutrients, micronutrients, or combinations thereof and is adaptable to different crop requirements and cultivation systems. The nanofertilizer is suitable for application through seed treatment, seed priming, soil application, fertigation, foliar spraying, hydroponic cultivation, and integrated nutrient management practices. The disclosed green synthesis platform promotes efficient nutrient delivery, supports the utilization of renewable biological resources and agro-food residues, reduces environmental impact associated with conventional fertilizer production, and provides an environmentally compatible and scalable approach for the development of multifunctional nanofertilizers for sustainable agriculture.
