Abstract: Green Synthesis of Copper Oxide Nanoparticles (CuO-NPs) Using Grewia tillifolia Leaf Extract The present invention provides a green method for synthesizing copper oxide nanoparticles utilizing Grewia tillifolia leaf extract. This environmentally friendly approach involves preparing an ethanol-based extract of Grewia tillifolia, which is then used to synthesize copper oxide nanoparticles. These nanoparticles have demonstrated significant antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and antioxidant potential, as confirmed through standard assays. The invention includes the collection and standardization of Grewia tillifolia extract, nanoparticle synthesis, and their characterization using UV-Vis spectroscopy, SEM, and TEM imaging. Antimicrobial and antioxidant testing procedures are also detailed, highlighting the potential of the synthesized nanoparticles in therapeutic applications. This invention ensures reproducibility and establishes the utility of Grewia till folia in nanoparticle synthesis, offering a promising route for medical and pharmaceutical application.
