Abstract: The figure of the abstract illustrates a Gravity Driven Water Purification Container with Passive Hydraulic Flow Balancing Chamber designed to provide continuous and energy-efficient water purification using only gravitational force. The system comprises a raw water chamber, a passive hydraulic flow balancing chamber, a filtration assembly, and a purified water storage chamber arranged in a vertical configuration. Untreated water is introduced into the raw water chamber and flows naturally into the passive hydraulic flow balancing chamber, where the hydraulic head is automatically equalized to maintain a substantially constant water pressure throughout the filtration process. The balanced water is then uniformly distributed through the filtration assembly, which may include one or more filtration media such as sediment filters, ceramic filters, activated carbon filters, or membrane filters for the removal of suspended particles, microorganisms, and other contaminants. Passive air venting allows trapped air to escape automatically, ensuring uninterrupted water flow, while overflow passages regulate excess water and stabilize the hydraulic conditions within the container. The purified water is collected in a separate enclosed storage chamber and dispensed through a dedicated outlet while preventing cross- contamination with untreated water. The passive hydraulic flow balancing chamber continuously maintains stable water flow and uniform hydraulic loading despite fluctuations in the water level of the raw water chamber, thereby improving filtration efficiency, reducing membrane fouling, and extending filter life. The entire purification process operates without electrical power, pumps, moving mechanical parts, or active control systems, making the invention suitable for household, rural, community, portable, emergency, disaster-relief, and off-grid drinking water applications. The figure graphically represents the overall structural arrangement of the container, the gravity-driven water flow path, the passive hydraulic flow balancing mechanism, the multi-stage filtration process, and the collection of purified water, thereby illustrating the principal structural and functional features of the proposed invention.
