MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611088044 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College on July 18, 2026, for Graphene-Based Multiband Terahertz Antenna And Working Method Thereof.

Inventor includes Dr. Karunesh Srivastava.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a graphene-based multiband terahertz antenna and a working method thereof. The antenna comprises a silicon substrate (30), a graphene radiating patch having an L-shaped configuration (10) disposed on the substrate, a graphene ground plane (40) including a square-shaped defect (20), and a microstrip feed line (50) configured to excite the radiating patch. The interaction between the L-shaped graphene radiating patch (10) and the defected graphene ground plane (40) generates multiple resonant modes in the terahertz frequency range. The working method comprises supplying a terahertz signal through the microstrip feed line (50) to excite the graphene radiating patch (10), producing electromagnetic coupling with the defect (20) to enable multiband transmission and reception. The antenna further permits frequency tuning through variation of the graphene chemical potential. Accompanied Drawings [Fig. 1-6]
