Abstract: Provided is a granular iron production apparatus that can efficiently cool molten iron and can efficiently cool granular iron being conveyed even in a conveyance device, such as a conveyor, thereby suppressing agglomeration of the iron granules. This granular iron production apparatus comprises a granulating device that turns molten iron into liquid droplets, a cooling water tank that drops the liquid droplets into cooling water to cool the liquid droplets to form granular iron, and a conveyance device that conveys the granular iron to the outside of the cooling water tank, the granular iron production apparatus including a water flow control container provided in the cooling water tank and having open upper and lower ends, and a cooling water pipe group that supplies cooling water into the water flow control container. The conveyance device includes: a conveyor that is provided below the water flow control container and conveys the granular iron from the inside of the cooling water tank to the outside of the cooling water tank; and a cooling water supply device that is provided above the conveyor in the cooling water tank and supplies the cooling water for cooling the granular iron unloaded by the conveyor.
