MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511017459 A) filed by Sanskriti University on February 27, 2025, for Grain Extraction Device For Broomcorn.

Inventors include Dr. Vikram Singh; and Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Singh.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A grain extraction device for broomcorn, comprising a housing 101 positioned on a ground surface and installed with a conveyer 102 to be placed with broomcorn, a touch enabled screen 103 enables a user to give input commands for extracting grains from broomcorn, a telescopically operated gripper 104 installed with side wall of housing 101 for gripping broomcorn, an air blower 105 mounted on side wall for blowing hot air to eliminate moisture from broomcorn, a platform 106 installed in proximity to conveyer 102 and attached with a first plate 107, a motorized slider 108 configured with gripper 104 for translating gripper 104 to place broomcorn over broomcorn, an imaging unit 109 mounted within housing 101 for detecting presence of broomcorn over first plate 107, a second plate 110 installed on first plate 107 via a motorized hinge 111, that tilts and deploying second plate 110 over first plate 107.
