MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441105294 A) filed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited on December 31, 2024, for Go-No-Go Gauge For Aircraft Wheel Brake Assembly.

Inventors include Umapathi B Radder; Thyagaraja G. S; K B Sudeep; and Suresh M. T.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: Go-no-go gauge for aircraft wheel brake assembly Go-no-go gauge for aircraft wheel brake assembly comprises of gauge bar(100) which is a metallic bar extended horizontally, a gauge lever(110) connected vertically to the gauge bar(100) at the centre to the horizontal rod, an outboard wheel bearing spindle(130), and an inboard wheel bearing spindle(120). The gauge lever(110) and gauge bar(100) exactly rests on the outer surface of the wheel(310) having drive blocks (210) installed on the tenon(200) at its circumference, the go-no-go gauge(140) is rotated manually along the centre of the axis of the wheel(310) through complete 360- degree rotation. A restricted movement of the go-no-go gauge(140) over the wheel(310) is considered as ‘No-go’ condition and unrestricted movement is considered as ‘Go’ condition. The go-no-go gauge(140) is made up of hardened stainless steel machined to produce a high degree of surface finish with dimensions critically maintained providing an efficient and foolproof means for inspecting the wheel brake assembly.
