Abstract: ABSTRACT Gingival retraction is a critical step in fixed prosthodontics procedures, ensuring accurate impressions by creating adequate space around the tooth preparation. The current invention presents a novel mechanical pencil device designed to dispense gingival retraction paste with enhanced precision. Unlike traditional syringe-based systems, this device integrates an ergonomic and compact design, allowing clinicians to operate it with minimal strain and improved-control-. -The mechanical pencil form incorporates a refillable or -preloaded---cartridge containing the retraction paste and a precision-controlled applicator tip to dispense the material directly into the sulcus with optimal accuracy. This device is especially beneficial in managing difficult cases where precise placement of the paste is crucial for effective gingival displacement without damaging the surrounding tissues. It is compatible with various gingival retraction pastes and designed for sterilization or disposable use, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. The innovation aims to improve clinical outcomes by minimizing procedural time, enhancing patient comfort, and enabling accurate impressions, ultimately contributing to the success of fixed prosthodontic restorations. Future development could include electronic sensors to monitor dispensing volume and pressure, further advancing the utility of this device in dental practice. This invention marks a significant step forward in simplifying and optimizing gingival retraction procedures, offering a user-friendly and precise alternative to conventional methods
