Abstract: Self-compacting concrete finds the greatest application in the modern construction world. Being an innovative material in the area of construction, the exploration in the field of SCC is vast. This study investigates the behavior of self-compacting concrete (SCC) with the partial replacement of cement with mineral admixtures such as fly ash, silica fume and GGBFS along with the replacement of fine aggregate with M sand. The primary objective is to explore the influence of these substitutions on the flow ability and mechanical properties of SCC. Mineral admixtures such as fly ash, silica fume, and ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) were used as replacements for cement. In this study we are going to replace cement with Fly ash and GGBS as a mix A in the ratio of 10% FA+30% GGBS, 15% FA+30% GGBS and 20% FA+30% GGBS and in the another mix B the cement is replaced by silica fume and GGBFS in the ratio of 10%SF+30%GGBS, 15%SF+30%GGBFS and 20%SF+30%GGBFS. The concrete specimens are casted with the above proportions in addition to the control mix and they are subjected to the hardened concrete test. Overall, the study concludes that replacing cement with mineral admixtures in SCC can achieve adequate mechanical performance and enhanced sustainability, by proposing the optimum percentage of replacements. This research offers insights into the development of ecofriendly, self-compacting concrete with potential applications in modern construction where high workability and sustainable materials are prioritized.
