MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621088085 A) filed by Sundardas Raghunath Gore; and Seema Sundardas Gore on July 19, 2026, for Geometry-Guided Corneal Treatment Apparatus For Shape-Specific Energy Delivery.
Inventor includes Sundardas Raghunath Gore.
The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT GEOMETRY-GUIDED CORNEAL TREATMENT APPARATUS FOR SHAPE-SPECIFIC ENERGY DELIVERY A corneal treatment apparatus for shape-specific corneal cross-linking treatment is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a fixation guidance module providing an adjustable fixation target, a geometry- specific interface module defining a treatment zone corresponding to a shape of a corneal pathology, a selective shielding module shielding a limbal region and healthy corneal tissue surrounding the treatment zone, and a patterned energy delivery module directing treatment energy onto the treatment zone. The modules are carried by a universal core module having a mounting interface configured to receive an interchangeable machine-specific adapter, enabling coupling to differing corneal cross- linking machines as a retrofit module or an integrated module. The geometry-specific interface module is interchangeable among circular, oval, crescent, sectoral, and irregular treatment geometries. The apparatus reduces healthy tissue exposure by confining treatment energy to a zone matching the pathology shape, while one core module mounts across multiple machines through adapter interchange.
