Abstract: The present invention relates to a generative artificial intelligence framework for personalized rehabilitation planning and recovery progress prediction following orthopedic surgery. The framework acquires multimodal postoperative information comprising surgical data, clinical parameters, functional measurements, patient- reported outcomes, rehabilitation adherence and wearable-sensor data. A multimodal processing module generates a dynamic patient recovery profile, from which a recovery-state estimation module determines the current functional state. A recovery prediction engine predicts a future recovery trajectory including functional improvement, mobility, pain progression and rehabilitation milestone achievement. A generative rehabilitation planning engine generates an individualized rehabilitation plan comprising exercise selection, intensity, repetitions, duration, frequency and progression parameters. A safety constraint module validates the generated plan against procedure-specific and patient-specific restrictions. An adaptive feedback mechanism compares observed and predicted recovery and dynamically updates the rehabilitation plan. An explainability module identifies factors contributing to predictions and recommendations, thereby providing clinician- oriented decision support for adaptive postoperative rehabilitation.
