Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (100) and a method (400) to generate a clinical decision-support output for a diabetic retinal disorder in a subject. The system (100) includes an image input interface (102) coupled to a fundus camera, a clinical data input interface (104), a segmentation unit (106) to delineate a macular region of interest, a thickness estimation unit (108) to generate a predicted macular thickness value independent of optical coherence tomography data, a classification unit (110) to fuse an image feature vector with the set of structured clinical parameters and the predicted macular thickness value, and an output unit (112) coupled to a display device (114). The clinical decision-support output is rendered on the display device (114) as a recommendation for consideration by a clinician, enabling deployment at a care facility equipped with a fundus camera.
