MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514114083 A) filed by Suzuki Motor Corporation on November 20, 2025, for Generation Control Device Of Bi-Fuel Vehicle.

Inventor includes Hirotaka Suzuki.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: It is to provide a generation control device of a bi-fuel vehicle capable of avoiding an unnecessary generation to thereby improve a fuel efficiency, while preventing a 5 generation torque from fluctuating. [Solution] There are provided: an engine 11 to selectively use different fuel-types of a first fuel and a second fuel; a generator 51 to generate an electric power using an output from the engine 11; a battery 13 to be charged with the generated electric power by the generator 10 51; a pump motor 23, an electromagnetic valve 27, a regulator 29, ignition plugs 30, a starter 50, and a general load 55, each to be supplied with the electric power from the battery 13 to thereby be activated therewith; and an ECU 12. The ECU 12 is configured to: while the first fuel is selected to be supplied for driving the engine 11, when value of current supplied from the battery 13 reaches or exceeds a first threshold value, execute an 15 electric power generation; but while the second fuel is selected to be supplied for driving the engine 11, when value of the supplied current reaches or exceeds a second threshold value different from the first threshold value, execute the electric power generation.
