MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547076737 A) filed by Google LLC on August 12, 2025, for Generating A Three-Dimensional Texture Synthesis Using Generative Artificial Intelligence.
Inventors include Hasan, Shiblee; and Haskins, Oren.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: A method includes generating a three-dimensional (3D) mesh of the virtual environment from a set of images of physical terrain and depth information. The method further includes applying an initial texture to the 3D mesh based on the depth information. The method further includes generating a projection of a 360-degree panorama onto the 3D mesh. The method further includes identifying one or more areas in the projection that are missing the initial texture. The method further includes providing the projection, identification of the one or more areas in the projection that are missing the initial texture, and the depth information to a machine-learning model. The method further includes outputting output texture for the one or more areas in the projection that are missing the initial texture and blending the output texture with the initial texture in the projection to obtain a blended texture in the projection.
