MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641113486 A) filed by Anurag University on September 22, 2026, for Genai-Driven Autonomous Sizing And Selection Of Cots Components.
Inventors include Dr. M Jayasree; and Pragna Nandhini Samala.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a GenAI-driven system (100) for autonomous sizing and selection of Commercially Available Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components. The system (100) comprises an input layer (102) configured to receive design requirements, a knowledge layer (104) comprising a standards parser, vendor catalogue database, and Knowledge Graph, and an AI reasoning layer (106) comprising a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) module, constraint solver, and rule-based compliance engine. The system further comprises a simulation layer (108) having surrogate machine-learning models for performance estimation, an optimization layer (110) configured for multi-objective optimization, and an interface layer (112) configured to rank candidate components and provide an explainable recommendation. The system (100) autonomously evaluates and selects COTS components based on design requirements, applicable standards, performance, cost, availability, and sustainability parameters.
