Inventors include Dr. Ebin Deni Raj; Dr. Sara Renjit; Dr. Ansith S; Dr. Deepsekhar Das; and Dr. Sandton J. S. Raj.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: A gaze-validated multi-position ocular imaging system (100) and method (200) for standardized ocular image acquisition are disclosed. The system (100) comprises camera module (102) configured to capture preview frames and ocular images of a subject, a face-landmark detection module (104) configured to detect facial and ocular landmarks, and gaze-direction estimation module (106) configured to determine a binocular normalized gaze vector (108). A commanded-position sequencing module (110) presents predetermined gaze positions, while a gaze-validation module (112) compares the binocular normalized gaze vector (108) with expected gaze vector (142) to generate a gaze-valid signal (114). A quality evaluation module (116) generates composite quality signal (118), and clinician-configurable mode selection module (120) enables operation in validation-enforced or clinician-judgement modes. A shutter-control module (122), peri-ocular cropping module (124), and session management module (126) facilitate image acquisition, processing, and generation of a multi-position ocular image set (138) for clinical evaluation of ocular alignment and motility.
