The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: Gaze Estimation System and Method Thereof A gaze estimation system includes an edge-guided near-eye segmentation module configured to receive monocular near- eye image frames and produce a pupil mask, an iris mask, a sclera mask, and an edge confidence mask. The segmentation module includes an encoder backbone, a transformer path, a pyramid path, a dual attention refinement component, and an edge-guided fusion branch. A confidence-aware ellipse fitting component extracts pupil contour points, fits an ellipse, and generates a composite confidence score using shape fidelity confidence, contour circularity confidence, brightness contamination penalty, and temporal motion continuity penalty. A temporally consistent three-dimensional eye model construction module analytically unprojects the fitted ellipse, resolves ambiguity using temporal consistency, and performs confidence-weighted sphere fitting. An adaptive geometry-appearance hybrid fusion module dynamically predicts fusion weights and adaptively fuses a final gaze vector. A dual-stage calibration and world mapping module calibrates the final gaze vector using polynomial correction.
