The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a gastro-resistant glucosinolate composition derived from cruciferous plants, formulated for targeted release in the large intestine for managing obesity and body weight. The composition substantially resists release in the stomach and small intestine, thereby protecting glucosinolates from premature degradation and enabling delivery to the colon, where interaction with gut microbiota occurs. In preferred embodiments, the glucosinolate is derived from mustard and comprises sinigrin. The composition may include pharmaceutically acceptable carriers, gastro-resistant coating materials, and optional enzymes such as myrosinase. In certain embodiments, the composition further comprises a liposomal formulation of short-chain fatty acids. The invention also provides oral dosage forms and methods of preparation for achieving controlled colonic delivery and supporting weight management in subjects.
