MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521049543 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology on May 22, 2025, for Gas Sensing Material And A Process For Its Preparation.

Inventors include Banerjee, Rupak; and Takhar, Vishakha.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT GAS SENSING MATERIAL AND A PROCESS FOR ITS PREPARATION The present disclosure relates to a gas sensing material and a process for its preparation. The gas sensing material is highly selective and sensitive for detecting ammonia. The gas sensing material can operate at typical operating temperatures and has long term stability. The process for preparing the gas sensing material is simple, cost-effective and promotes ordered growth, controls morphology and surface area for improved sensing performance of the gas sensing material. Further, the present disclosure relates to a gas sensor and a gas sensing system. The gas sensor/ sensing device is effective and efficient for detection of ammonia gas.
