The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: A controller for secondary load-frequency control in an islanded microgrid includes a fuzzy power system stabilizer (2) configured to receive an area control error signal derived from a frequency deviation of the microgrid, a washout filter configured to process the area control error signal to remove steady-state components while passing transient components, a fuzzy logic controller configured to receive a filtered signal from the washout filter and generate control outputs based on a membership function structure, and a proportional-integral-derivative output stage configured to combine proportional, integral, and derivative control actions to produce a control signal for regulating power output of controllable generation sources within the microgrid. The fuzzy power system stabilizer (2) dampens frequency oscillations caused by load disturbances and variations in renewable energy source output during islanded operation when the microgrid is disconnected from a main utility grid.
