The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: FUZZY LOGIC-BASED ENCODERLESS BLDC MOTOR CONTROLLER FOR ENHANCED BATTERY PERFORMANCE FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE The present invention discloses a BLDC (Brush Less Direct Current) motor controller comprising an input module configured to receive a speed reference input, Hall position sensors for mechanically coupled to a BLDC motor of a drive application including 2-wheelers or 3-wheelers or 4-wheelers electric vehicles (EV) in which frequent and random motor load speed variations occur, said Hall position sensors operate for estimating speed of the BLDC motor and a fuzzy logic controller module configured for involving the speed reference input and Hall sensor feedback for speed estimation, whereby the controller operates on speed error and its integral employing fuzzy logic and deliver an output signal to drive unit of the BLDC motor with automatically adjustable gains that ensures robust operation under varying motor loads and speeds including dynamic/transients operating conditions of the EV such as acceleration, deceleration, and gradient changes still minimum surge in current of battery driving the BLDC motor.
