Abstract: ABSTRACT: The present invention discloses a Functionally Graded Cellular Interlocking Thermal-Acoustic Eco-Block Incorporating Cement Kiln Dust (CKD), Crumb Rubber, and Encapsulated Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Spheres for sustainable and energy-efficient construction applications. The eco-block comprises a functionally graded composite structure including an outer structural shell containing cementitious materials and CKD for strength and durability, an intermediate rubberized layer incorporating crumb rubber for impact resistance, vibration damping, and crack mitigation, and an inner cellular core containing encapsulated EPS spheres arranged within honeycomb-like cells for enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation. The eco-block further includes an interlocking configuration that facilitates rapid construction, improved alignment, and reduced mortar consumption. The cellular architecture contributes to weight reduction and efficient load distribution while maintaining structural integrity. The incorporation of industrial and polymeric waste materials promotes environmental sustainability and resource conservation. The proposed eco-block exhibits improved thermal comfort, sound attenuation, energy efficiency, and durability compared to conventional masonry units. The invention is suitable for residential, commercial, institutional, and green building applications requiring lightweight, thermally efficient, and acoustically enhanced construction materials.
