Abstract: The present invention relates to a functional silk pillow case configured for controlled release of bioactive agents to deliver skin conditioning benefits during use. The functional silk pillow case comprises a fabric substrate formed from 92-95% mulberry silk infused with encapsulated bioactive agents, a binder, and polyester thread for seam reinforcement. The finishing layer is formed by a padding and thermal curing process that ensures uniform bi-directional distribution of the encapsulated bioactive agents across both surfaces of the fabric substrate. A slow-release mechanism enables gradual emission of the infused bioactive components over time through friction, heat, and moisture generated during sleep, providing sustained skin conditioning benefits including improved hydration, softness, and comfort. The invention provides a passive, non-topical textile solution for skin conditioning during sleep without requiring behavioral effort or repeated application of topical skincare products. (Figure 1)
