Abstract: ABSTRACT FUEL TANK FOR VEHICLE COMPRISING SENSOR FOR FILLER CAP A fuel tank (100) for a vehicle comprises a metal body (102) having a neck (104) with an opening. The fuel tank (100) also comprises a 5 filler cap (106), a hinge (130), a stopper plate (112), a sensor bracket (110), and a sensor (108). The hinge (130) is secured to the filler cap (106) at the opening. The sensor (108) is located on the metal body (102) external to the opening. The sensor (108) is to detect opening and closing of the filler cap (106). The sensor (108) is mounted on the sensor bracket (110) that is 10 located on the neck (104). The stopper plate (112) is attached to the filler cap (106), wherein the stopper plate (112) actuates the sensor (108) upon opening and closing of the filler cap (106).
