Abstract: A front fork (1) is provided with: a fork body (F); a rod (4) accommodated in the fork body; a cylindrical lock case (5c) that is movable in the axial direction with respect to the rod (4); a lock piece (6) that partitions a lock chamber (B) in the lock case (5c) and has a passage (P) that connects the inside and the outside of the lock chamber (B); and a spring member (7) that biases the lock piece (6); a spring shoe (8) that has a fitting part (8a) fitted to the inner circumference of the lock case (5c) and a seat part (8b) facing an end part of the lock case (5c); a suspension spring (9) that is supported by a portion of the fork body (F) and the seat part (8b); and a stopper (10) that is attached to the rod (4) and blocks the passage (P) upon abutting against the lock piece (6). The fitting part (8a) prevents the lock piece (6) from slipping out of the lock case (5c).
