MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621073307 A) filed by Ansicht Voneden India on June 12, 2026, for Fresnel Solar Desalination Tower With Guttered Electrostatic Condensation Dome.
Inventor includes Dr. Ajinkya Inamdar.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT FRESNEL SOLAR DESALINATION TOWER WITH GUTTERED ELECTROSTATIC CONDENSATION DOME The instant disclosure provides a coastal solar desalination tower (100) comprising a hollow aluminium cylindrical tower (110), an aluminium evaporator bowl (140) at a lower portion of the tower, a plurality of motorised Fresnel lens assemblies (130) focused on the bowl, and a condensation dome (150) at an upper portion of the tower. Vapour generated in the bowl rises through a hollow internal vapour passage (160) into the dome. An underside of the dome is formed by concentric annular gutter channels (156), each sloped toward a side freshwater collection conduit (170), so that condensate is captured laterally rather than returning to the bowl. An outer cooling jacket (154) may circulate seawater around the dome and return it to the bowl as preheated feedwater. A photovoltaic-powered electric-field subsystem (200) may influence droplet detachment, and an automated mechanism removes salt, algae, brine and scale from the bowl. (
