Abstract: The present invention provides a frequency self-adaptive damper valve assembly and a shock absorber using the valve assembly. The frequency self-adaptive damper valve assembly comprises a housing, a valve member, a flexible annular sealing element, a variable volume pressure chamber; one side of the variable volume pressure chamber is defined by the flexible annular sealing element; the valve member has a support portion which has a first engagement surface sealingly engaged with an upper end face of the sealing element, and a second engagement surface sealingly engaged with a lower end face of the sealing element; the sealing element is mounted on the support portion by means of the first engagement surface and the second engagement surface. According to the present invention, the lower end face of the sealing element is arranged in a suspended mode and does not come into contact with other parts below the sealing element, so that a non-linear increase of the load in a pressure establishing process is avoided, moreover, friction with the housing is avoided, the parts are prevented from being damaged, and the stability and durability are improved.
