MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647108636 A) filed by Telefonaktiebolaget Lm Ericsson Publ on September 10, 2026, for Frequency Domain Resource Allocation Enhancement For Sbfd.

Inventors include Giupponi, Lorenza; Liu, Yuhang; and Mungara, Ratheesh, Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method is performed by a wireless device. The method comprises obtaining a subband full duplex (SBFD) configuration indicating one or more subbands of a frequency band for transmission/reception in a first direction and subbands of the frequency band for transmission/reception in a second direction. The method further comprises receiving a frequency domain resource allocation from a network node comprising a resource allocation for transmission/reception in the first direction for the frequency band. The resource allocation indicates a continuous range of virtual resource blocks (VRBs) available for transmission/reception. The method further comprises determining a mapping of VRBs to physical resource blocks (PRBs) based on the frequency domain resource allocation and the SBFD configuration. The mapped PRBs are within the subbands for transmission/reception in the first direction. The method further comprises performing transmission/reception in the first direction using the mapped PRBs.
