Abstract: Abstract The present invention relates to an online freelancing service system designed to facilitate secure, transparent, and efficient interactions between freelancers and employers through a centralized web-based platform. With the increasing demand for remote and on-demand professional services, existing freelancing solutions often suffer from limitations such as fragmented workflows, lack of trust, inefficient project management, and insecure payment handling. The proposed system addresses these challenges by providing an integrated, automated, and intelligent environment that supports the complete lifecycle of freelance and service-based engagements. The system enables users to register and authenticate through secure login mechanisms and supports role-based access for administrators, freelancers, and employers. Employers are provided with tools to post projects, define service requirements, establish milestone-based deliverables, and either invite bids from freelancers or directly hire professionals offering predefined services. Freelancers can create detailed profiles, showcase skills, browse available projects, submit competitive bids, accept direct assignments, and track progress through clearly defined milestones. A key feature of the invention is the implementation of a secure escrow-based payment mechanism that ensures financial protection for both parties. Employer payments are securely held until agreed project milestones are completed and approved, at which point funds are released to the freelancer. This approach minimizes disputes, reduces fraud, and enhances trust across the platform. All financial transactions and project activities are logged within a centralized database to maintain transparency and accountability. The system further incorporates artificial intelligence–powered recommendation algorithms that analyze freelancer skills, experience, project history, and employer requirements. These algorithms intelligently match freelancers with suitable projects and assist employers in identifying qualified candidates, thereby reducing hiring time and improving project success rates. Automation is applied across project workflows, including notifications, status updates, milestone approvals, and payment releases, significantly reducing manual intervention and administrative overhead. An administrator module provides comprehensive control over platform operations, including user verification, job approval, dispute resolution, performance monitoring, and transaction auditing. This ensures platform integrity, compliance, and consistent service quality. The invention also introduces a hybrid engagement model that supports both traditional freelancing and predefined service offerings within a single system, offering flexibility for diverse professional and business needs. Implemented using ASP.Net for application development and SQL Server for data management, the system offers scalability, reliability, and enhanced security. The proposed online freelancing service system improves user experience, operational efficiency, and trust by combining intelligent matching, secure payments, and end-to-end project management. As a result, the invention provides a robust, transparent, and user-friendly solution suitable for modern digital service marketplaces.
