Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of a wearable oncology platform for digital biomarkers, cancer digital twins, detection of clinical deterioration, and therapy efficacy prediction utilizing a foundation model. The wearable oncology platform consists of a multi-modal wearable sensor suite that continuously gathers physiological data (PPG, IMU, GSR, temperature). The data obtained from the sensor suite goes through a preprocessing step where the data gets tokenized in order to be fed into a foundation model based on the transformer architecture. The foundation model is trained on a huge amount of physiological data and fine-tuned on oncology. The foundation model outputs latent feature vectors that dynamically change the mathematical state space of an individual patient’s cancer digital twin (CDT). The clinical deterioration is detected using the difference between predictions done by the model and real-world data of the patient which allows predicting clinical deterioration before symptoms appear.
