MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411095188 A) filed by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited on December 03, 2024, for Fouling Deposits Cleaning Chemicals For Hydrocarbon Heat Processing Equipment And Preparation Thereof.

Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to cleaning or removing of fouling deposits presented in heat processing equipment of a distillation unit in petroleum refinery. In particular, the present disclosure pertains to a cleaning chemical for removing fouling deposits in internal metal surfaces of hydrocarbon heat processing equipments. The present disclosure also provides a method for cleaning of fouling deposits presented on metal surfaces of heat processing equipments of a crude distillation unit in which fouling of metal surfaces contacted with crude oil at elevated temperature is cleaned up by circulating the chemical composition.
