Abstract: Disclosed is a textile softener formulation for enhancing textile softness, durability, and moisture management in treated fabrics. The formulation comprises a quaternized imidazoline derived from castor oil fatty acids and polyethylene polyamines. The quaternized imidazoline is modified to include a hydroxyl functional group that supports controlled moisture release and improved fabric breathability. Upon application to textile fibers, the formulation forms a lubricating film that reduces inter-fiber friction and improves softness, flexibility, and hand feel. The polyethylene polyamines strengthen bonding between the active component and the textile fibers, thereby improving durability and enabling retention of performance over multiple wash cycles. The formulation may further provide antimicrobial protection through stabilized attachment of the active component to the fibers. In certain embodiments, the formulation may include quaternization agents, stabilizing agents, and antioxidants to improve ionic stability, storage stability, and shelf life.
