Abstract: ABSTRACT [0037] A polyherbal hair spray is disclosed that combines extracts of Rosmarinus officinalis, Clitoria ternatea, Moringa oleifera, Punica granatum and related botanical materials to deliver concurrent ultraviolet protection and anti-dandruff activity. Three experimental formulations were prepared and evaluated for physicochemical properties, in-vitro sun-protection factor, Fourier-transform infrared spectral characteristics and antifungal efficacy against Candida albicans. The optimized formulation exhibited a yellowish-gold appearance, scalp-compatible pH, uniform globule size, good washability, acceptable viscosity, absence of phase separation, non-irritancy and superior spreadability. Its calculated sun-protection factor reached 15.0, while the zone of inhibition against Candida albicans measured approximately 20 mm, confirming strong antifungal performance. Fourier-transform infrared spectra verified the presence of phenolic, flavonoid and ester functional groups responsible for the observed photoprotective and conditioning effects. The formulation therefore constitutes a stable, natural leave-on spray suitable for daily scalp and hair protection.
