MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076141 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on June 19, 2026, for Forest Monitoring System With Multi-Parameter Sensor Validation.

Inventors include Kaviya L; Dhivya E; and Ramya. G.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT FOREST MONITORING SYSTEM WITH MULTI-PARAMETER SENSOR VALIDATION A centralized forest monitoring system (100) comprises a sensor layer (110) disposed in a remote forest area, the sensor layer (110) including a vibration sensor (112) detecting ground vibration patterns, a temperature sensor (114) detecting localized temperature changes, and a chemical sensor (116) detecting chemical variations in at least one of soil and air. A processing unit (120) communicatively coupled to the sensor layer (110) receives sensor data from the vibration sensor (112), temperature sensor (114), and chemical sensor (116). A validation engine (130) communicatively coupled to the processing unit (120) performs multi-parameter confirmation by analyzing the sensor data collectively to identify a suspicious event. A communication module (140) communicatively coupled to the validation engine (130) wirelessly transmits an alert to a centralized monitoring station (150) when the suspicious event is confirmed. A data logging module (160) records the suspicious event for retrieval.
